When Things Go Wrong..
As they no doubt will - the best you can hope for is that you have the ongoing support of your friends and family.
During the sixteen years I have been tending my 93 year old mother I have been blessed with a large circle of friends and family including medics and lawyers.
In our area there is a very supportive Social Work department run by Fife Regional Council.
Now for some kudos
During a recent crisis episode lasting 13 hours!!
my thanks to
- Ishbel Russell - SW MECS fall service
- NHS24 (medics used to be oncall 24/7)
- Theo & Kisty - paramedics
- Dr David Nesvaosa - A&E, Victoria Hospital
- Tom & Co - patient transport service
- Rosemary & her care team including Isobel, Lynne and many others
When I get the GP onboard after her Easter holiday things should improve (hopefully now that Mum finally admits she needs to go into hospital).
